tools, tips and techniques! : A hands on workshop for creative ways to promote your library and information service using social media, posters, infographics and video

Cilip’s Multimedia, Information and Technology Group (MmIT) and the Publicity and Public Relations Group (PPRG) are pleased to be offer this joint summer workshop.

Library and information services across public and private sectors are increasingly being pressured to provide more for less. With diminishing numbers of resources it has never been more important for those working in the sector to gain new skills and provide more value. Social media, video and creative platforms are superb ways for library and information professionals to help deliver a better, more reactive service that benefits its users. From creating your own content to empowering others to do so, this workshop aims to teach attendees core skills that will help them deliver a more sustainable, outreaching service. We will also explore platform choice, Creative Commons licences and how you achieve a sustainable way to discover new creative ways of promoting your service.

 

This event is free to MmIT and PPRG members, and costs £50.00 for non members.
